Bio

Noman is a documentary filmmaker and visual storyteller who has spent the last eight years travelling across Pakistan capturing stories of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. He has produced three short documentaries screened at regional film festivals and is currently working on a feature-length project about vanishing crafts in southern Punjab. He holds a degree in Mass Communication from Punjab University and is largely self-taught in cinematography. Despite his creative nomadic career, he is deeply rooted — he visits his parents in Gujrat every month without fail, sends money home consistently, and still prays Fajr in congregation at the local mosque whenever he is in town. He describes himself as someone who is 'quietly intense' — he does not make noise about his ambitions but works toward them with singular focus. He cooks well, loves long drives on empty roads, and believes that the most honest conversations happen over chai at roadside dhabas rather than fancy restaurants.
